Over 2,200 Boosh Food meals donated to charities this spring
In the last two months, the Boosh Food, Inc. team has delivered almost 2,200 meals to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank and Mamas for Mamas, Vancouver Chapter.
“This past year, and some, has been a real struggle, especially for families,” says Connie Marples, founder, Boosh Food, Inc. “All of us at Boosh feel that it’s important, and really, our civic duty, to continue to focus our support and donations to local hunger relief organizations. We want to lend a hand to our neighbours if they need it.”
Great Vancouver Food Bank
The Greater Vancouver Food Bank has been providing healthy food to those in need since 1983. We sometimes forget that people who access the Food Bank may also have nutritional or dietary requirements. Our Boosh entrees are gluten-free, so our donations can provide nutritious meals to all.
Mamas for Mamas
Many of the Boosh team members are mamas, grandmas, fathers, grandfathers and even uncles, so Mamas for Mamas, Surrey Chapter has always been a top priority for us at Boosh. Mamas for Mamas, a poverty relief agency, provides an all-inclusive community for mothers and caregivers that offer a community to help raise healthy, happy children. The work that these mamas (and dadas!) do is close to our Boosh hearts.
We all need to do our part to support our neighbours and community, especially in these challenging economic times. Please get in touch to share any Canadian not-for-profits or charities that we should know of.
